OCTOBER 2024 KIWANIS ONE DAY Kiwanis One Day 2024 was a celebration of global service, where Kiwanians united to make a difference in their communities. Despite being rescheduled due to three typhoons that caused class suspensions, the event successfully embodied this year’s theme, “Building a BETTER Tomorrow by Bringing the BEST in Serving the Children.”
The day featured a meaningful tree planting activity, with 300 seedlings—150 pine trees and 150 coffee plants—planted through the efforts of Kiwanians, parents, barangay officials, school teachers, staff, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, led by Scoutmaster Mr. Willy James Kilip. Environmental awareness was further enriched by Kwn Flora May Garcia’s talk and her poem “Ang Puno ay Buhay.”
Participants also enjoyed art therapy sessions, fun games, and an art contest with prizes for winners and goodies for all. Hosted by KC Supreme , with 5 sister clubs, the event was made possible by the dedication of Kiwanian volunteers from Division 1A-1 and Principal Rosalina Laureta of Ambiong Elementary School.
